Safety to acquire New England-focused agency Northeast/Metrowest

Activist investor target Safety Insurance Group has announced its intent to acquire Massachusetts-based Northeast/Metrowest Insurance Agency in a deal intended to strengthen the regional insurer’s position within the independent agency channel.
