AIG shares trade up 5% on strong Q1 and top- and bottom-line momentum

Investors reacted positively to AIG’s latest earnings beat and commentary about the opportunities for profitable organic growth and further improvement in risk-adjusted returns in the carrier’s General Insurance (GI) business, initially sending its share price up almost 5 percent in early trading.
