Root underwhelms in first month of trading compared to Lemonade

Auto insurtech Root’s share price is down 37 percent on its initial public offering price of $27 almost a month after its debut, while shares in insurtech peer Lemonade have grown 39 percent in that time and the Dow Jones Industrial Average has broken records.
