Canadian carriers face C$50mn hit from March storms

Canadian insurers are facing losses in the region of C$50mn ($41.5mn) from a storm that moved across the east of the country in late March with the province of Quebec suffering the greatest hit, according to figures from Catastrophe Indices and Quantification (CatIQ).
