Irish regulator looking to impose climate regulations on insurers

The Central Bank of Ireland has launched a public consultation on proposals to introduce guidance on climate change risks for the (re)insurance sector, with governor Gabriel Makhlouf saying he expects to see a “step change” in the way insurers respond to the changing climate.
