Insure Our Future: European insurers underwrite 30% of US coal
Lloyd’s, Zurich and Swiss Re are among the top insurers of the 25 largest coal mines in the US, with European insurers providing cover for 30.7 percent of US coal production in 2022, a new report by Insure Our Future has found.
