AM Best: Caribbean carriers more exposed to Beryl impact than previous storms due to higher retentions

As Hurricane Beryl approached Jamaica, AM Best commented that the losses to the reinsurance industry are likely to be within risk appetite while Caribbean domestic primary carriers’ earnings impacts may be more severe than for previous storms because of increased retentions.
