Tributes pour in after Socius cyber executive Kevin Kershisnik passes away
Socius Insurance Services has paid tribute to Kevin Kershisnik after the executive unexpectedly passed away on Monday.
Kershisnik served as executive vice president, West Coast cyber practice leader, shareholder and branch manager for the wholesaler’s Los Angeles office and was also a regular industry speaker and presenter.
In a statement, Socius said: “On December 26, 2022, our beloved friend and colleague Kevin Kershisnik unexpectedly passed away. Although the news has been shocking and hard to process, we wanted to pay tribute to the wonderful and caring person that Kevin Kershisnik personified in all respects.”
Kershisnik had been with the firm since 2000 when he joined as a management liability broker.
“Kevin lived life to its fullest enjoying skiing, hiking, travelling, and building friendships with anyone he engaged. During his career in insurance, Kevin covered all facets of the industry – first retail, then carrier marketing and underwriting and for the past 22 years, wholesale broking.
“Kevin will be forever remembered for his vibrant personality. He was intelligent, compassionate, attentive, and a true friend to anyone fortunate enough to be in his presence. Our hearts go out to Kevin’s loving husband, Rory Sheehan, as well as his entire family during this difficult time. Please keep them all in your thoughts and prayers,” the statement continued.
Socius announced the news on LinkedIn yesterday in a post that was met with an outpouring of tributes and condolences from industry colleagues and competitors alike.
San Francisco, California-based Socius is led by Patrick Hanley and Chris McKechnie and backed by private equity firm Abry Partners.
