Hospitals navigate aftermath of Covid-19 as E&S carriers push up pricing

The after-effects of the pandemic and the resulting shifting legal environment and staff shortages are pressuring the hospital industry and the E&S insurance market that covers it, with pricing continuing to rise – albeit at lower levels than in 2022 – and capacity still tight as underwriters respond to ever-rising liability awards.
