Personal lines insurers lead gains in US insurance composite amid volatile week for stocks

The North American insurance composite, compiled by investment banks Stonybrook Capital and Weild & Co, eked out a gain of 0.6 percent in the week, amid heightened volatility across equity markets following the attempted assassination of former US president Donald Trump on 13 July and a succession of political and economic events.
