AccuWeather lowers 2024 hurricane season forecast amid quiet August

AccuWeather has lowered its 2024 Atlantic hurricane season forecast to 16 to 20 named storms, six to 10 hurricanes, three to six major hurricanes, and four to six direct US impacts, following an unusually quiet August with limited tropical activity in the Atlantic basin.
