AM Best: US personal auto writers struggling to stay ahead of severity trends

A new report from AM Best reveals the direct incurred loss ratio for US private passenger auto jumped 13.2 percentage points in the first half of this year, with the rating agency warning that carriers “are having difficulty staying ahead of deteriorating severity trends”.
