Gallagher Re: Current Helene path suggests $3bn-$6bn industry loss, shift east could see $10bn+ hit

Hurricane Helene’s current status and expected path suggests the private insurance market could face losses of $3bn to $6bn, but if the storm unexpectedly shifts east and moves closer to Tampa then that range could top $10bn when also factoring in federally run insurance programs, according to Gallagher Re.
