Geico shutters CA agent offices as Kemper’s Lacher voices Golden State rate pushback fears

Berkshire Hathaway-owned Geico has reportedly shuttered its 38 agent offices in California and will no longer sell auto coverage over the phone in the Golden State, amid warnings from Kemper CEO Joseph Lacher that the state’s auto market could “seize up” owing to continued rate filing pushbacks.
