Hiscox reduces London property cat appetite amid struggle for rate adequacy

Re-underwriting actions taken by Hiscox – which have seen the carrier reduce its appetite for “under-priced” natural catastrophe-exposed risks in its London Market property portfolio – have still not resulted in rate adequacy, according to the group’s interim CFO.
