Markel’s Gayner to become sole CEO from 1 January

Markel has confirmed that Thomas Gayner will from 1 January 2023 serve as its sole-CEO ahead of current co-CEO Richie Whitt’s retirement, while current chief financial officer Jeremy Noble will also at that date step up to president of the company’s insurance business.
