NN Group sells asset management unit to Goldman Sachs for €1.7bn

Dutch insurer NN Group has sold its asset management unit to Goldman Sachs for €1.7bn ($1.98bn), after coming under pressure from activist hedge fund Elliott Investment Management last year to cut costs and sell off non-core businesses.
