Suncorp reinsurance recoveries increase 158% to A$2.45bn in FY22

Australian insurer Suncorp booked A$2.45bn ($1.7bn) in reinsurance and other recoveries in its 2022 financial year – up from A$947mn the previous year – with the “significant recoveries” helping reduce the net cost of natural hazards to A$1.08bn.
