UK govt nears agreement with regulators over Solvency II reforms

The UK government is understood to be close to an agreement with regulators over the final shape of hotly anticipated reforms to the Solvency II insurance capital rules, which could be announced later today as part of the autumn budget should the talks be finalised in time.
