Lockton Re bolsters international casualty fac with Gen Re’s Cohn
Lockton Re has appointed Rachel Cohn to lead its international casualty facultative practice.
Cohn is set to join Lockton Re as a senior broker later this month.
The casualty facultative practice will form part of the existing international P&C division in London.
Cohn most recently spent almost five years at Gen Re, latterly as senior international casualty facultative underwriter. She has experience working in both the US and London casualty reinsurance markets and the primary casualty market.
Commenting on the appointment, Lockton Re international CEO Keith Harrison said: “We are delighted to be welcoming Rachel to the team as we launch this new international casualty facultative practice.
“Over the past few years, we have seen growing demand for our facultative offering and Rachel will be a key part of this continued expansion, working alongside our casualty facultative team in North America led by Craig Wadman and our international fac team in London led by Ben Day.”
Wadman also joined Lockton Re from Gen Re in February 2022, while former head of CJ Re Day joined Lockton Re in September 2020 to lead the London fac practice.
Carla Moffett, head of international P&C at Lockton Re, added: “We are excited to be able to extend our existing offering to our casualty clients.
“Rachel will have the opportunity to expand our casualty fac capabilities working with experts across Lockton Re to bring the best solutions to clients, which is what our collaborative and dynamic culture is all about.”
